====== Getting Started ====== Thank you for wanting to operate a receiver! Here is some information about the receivers we build. What's in the box: * Receiver in its enclosure (the enclosure is printed in ASA) * 3D-printed part for the bottom seal ("bottom.stl") and screws (M4 x 12, TX20) * Rubber plug for the LAN cable {{::box.jpg?600 |}} ===== Self-Service Portal ===== There is a self-service portal. The link for your node is attached as a QR code to the back of the receiver, and it can also be found on the packaging, on the delivery note, and in the shipping confirmation e-mail. You can protect your node with a password: [[en:node_registration|Node Registration]] ====== Power Supply ====== You can power your receiver via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or USB. With USB, it doesn't matter which of the two ports you use. Both are connected to the internal 5 V supply through a diode. The power consumption has been measured by several users and is about **1.7 W** to **2 W**. ===== PoE ===== On the receiver, a jumper lets you choose between active PoE (802.3af) and passive PoE. In the 802.3af position, the jumper is only parked and has no electrical connection. * **802.3af**: 48 V active PoE * **passive**: 7 V - 58 V passive PoE For outdoor installations, see [[en:hardware:surge_protection|Surge Protection]]. {{::node.jpg?600 |}} ===== Web Interface ===== The receiver has no web interface on the local LAN. Config parameters can only be set via MQTT (in the self-service portal) or via USB. ===== WLAN / Mobile Operation ===== Since the antenna of the ESP32-C5 is already used for C-ITS, a WLAN connection is not possible. For mobile operation, we recommend a WLAN repeater / range extender with a LAN port. There are also models that can be powered via USB.
